Terms of Service

1. About EnergyBase.ie

EnergyBase.ie is operated by JJM Advertising Limited, a company registered in Ireland (VAT IE3321002WH), with its registered office in Dublin, Ireland.

We provide solar information, indicative estimates, secure saved reports and an optional installer quote-request service. We are not a solar installer and do not install, sell or service solar panels.

2. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using EnergyBase.ie, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

3. The estimate and saved report

When you finish the short estimate journey, EnergyBase saves an indicative estimate and secure report. This action is not an installer quote request and does not share your information with an installer. We send an operational access email so you can reopen the report; that email is part of the service and does not subscribe you to marketing.

You can edit the property and system details in the report. The estimate changes when its inputs change, but remains indicative rather than an installer quotation, site survey, guarantee or professional advice.

4. Optional quote request

If you later want installer quotes, you can complete one request inside the report. The confirmation screen presents the sharing notice that applies at that time. Only the final confirmation creates the request and authorises EnergyBase to select installer partners and share the stated information with them.

The savings calculator on EnergyBase.ie provides estimates based on publicly available data and reasonable assumptions about energy usage, solar generation, and costs in Ireland. Results are indicative only — actual costs and savings depend on your specific circumstances, including your roof orientation, shading, energy consumption, and the installer you choose.

We are not providing financial, energy, or investment advice. You should obtain professional advice before making any decisions based on calculator results.

7. Data sharing and service messages

We do not share estimate information with installer partners before you confirm a quote request. When you do confirm, we may share only the information with the recipients described in the sharing notice shown with that action. The confirmation is your instruction to EnergyBase to arrange the requested quotes; optional analytics-and-marketing consent is separate and is not required to use the service. We may send operational messages needed to save, recover or manage your report and quote request. A report access link is single-use and expires after 15 minutes. You are responsible for keeping access emails and authenticated browser sessions private.

8. Installer relationships

Any contract you enter into with an installer is between you and that installer. EnergyBase.ie (JJM Advertising Limited) is not a party to any such contract and has no liability for the installer's work, pricing, timelines, quality of installation, or any other aspect of their service.

Selection for a quote request or inclusion in our directory is not an endorsement or guarantee. We strongly recommend that you compare independent quotes and verify each installer's current SEAI registration, electrical credentials, insurance and references before entering into a contract.

9. Intellectual property

All content, design, code, and branding original to EnergyBase.ie are the property of JJM Advertising Limited and are protected by Irish and international intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our original content without our prior written consent.

Our solar installer directory also displays third-party material — including company names, logos, trade marks, and review data — which remains the property of the respective installers and platforms (such as Google and Trustpilot). This material is reproduced for the purpose of identifying and describing each business in a factual directory, and no ownership or endorsement is claimed. If you are the owner of a listed business or mark and wish to correct or remove your listing, email hello@energybase.ie and we will action your request.

Company information in the directory is derived in part from the publicly available SEAI register of approved solar PV companies. Inclusion indicates the registration status recorded in our source data only; it is not an EnergyBase endorsement, quality assessment or guarantee that the status remains current.

10. Limitation of liability

EnergyBase.ie is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law, JJM Advertising Limited shall not be liable for:
